St. Philomena College of nursing sciences celebrates her first joint matriculation ceremony
On the 23rd of May, the students, priests as well as heads of the various departments of the St Philomena College of Nursing Sciences (SPONS) gathered to celebrate her very first joint matriculation ceremony for sets March 2023-March 2025.
The ceremony began with the introduction of guests and the opening prayer was led by Very Rev Fr Jerome Idebe, the administrator of St Philomena hospital college of nursing sciences.
The event was graced with important personalities from the medical field and the matriculation lecture was given by Mrs. Olubummi Obasodan. She expressed her joy seeing young nurses come to embrace the call to serve humanity and she entreated the students to embrace their studies as well as avail themselves to be formed.
Furthermore, she admonished students to help each other as they journey along in their pursuit for professional and academical excellence.
The event ended with the students taking their matriculation oath pledging their obedience to the school’s rules and regulation.
