ASCENSION CATHOLIC CHURCH IDOGBO CELEBRATES HER ANNUAL FEAST DAY.

It was once again a day set aside to offer praises to God for his benevolence and manifold graces upon the lives of all lay faithful of Ascension Catholic Church as they gathered to celebrate her annual feast day celebration.
Parishioners were colorful dressed with their different cultural attires, as the choir created a conducive atmosphere for worship and offering of praises unto God for yet another celebration of their feast day.
The mass was led by Rev fr Sylvester Okoye and during his homily, he emphasized on the theme of the celebration “celebrating our uniqueness as one” made an illustration of a bounce of broom and a stick of broom, saying it easier to snap a stick of broom than to break a bunch of broom, further more cementing the theme of the feast day celebration.
After the mass, the reception was held at the church premises there the show of unity came to play as all cultural groups were fully represented and they displayed their cultural heritage through music and food. 
It was a wholesome experience watching all cultural groups come together to support other cultural groups.
